Do we have a contractual obligation when using your services?

As a commercial cleaning and maintenance client, you are subject to our contractual agreements, which ensure clarity and consistency in our services. Payment is made either at each visit or in advance, depending on your preference. We aim to build lasting relationships based on our ability to meet your needs, rather than relying solely on a contractual obligation. We value customer satisfaction, and your reviews help provide future clients with honest insights into our capabilities and work ethics.

Will we get the same operative all of the time?

Your property will typically be serviced by a team of two fully trained operatives, depending on the size of the premises. For larger commercial sites, up to four operatives may be assigned. For your security and peace of mind, our uniformed operatives are fully insured, with public liability coverage up to £5,000,000, demonstrating our commitment to both our customers and staff. Additionally, all operatives are paid on a PAYE basis, relieving you of any concerns about tax or national insurance.

Our operatives are not permitted to eat, smoke, or use any of your appliances while on your premises. MCS Contract Services Ltd follows strict professional cleaning and maintenance practices that ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

What will your operatives do in my home or office?

We offer free on-site visits to assess and tailor your cleaning and maintenance requirements, enabling us to better understand your specific needs and expectations.

In addition to any special requests, our cleaning services include removing cobwebs, dusting skirting boards, pictures, lampshades, ornaments, windowsills, furniture, and light fittings, and vacuuming throughout. We also wipe cupboard fronts, wash floors, and provide thorough cleaning for kitchens and bathrooms.

What are your hours of business?

Our regular cleaning and maintenance services typically take place Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. For commercial cleaning, we can schedule services early in the morning, during the evening, or during working hours, as required. While specific times may not always be possible for domestic services, we strive to meet customer preferences and can clean while you are away, so you return to a fresh and tidy space.

Do I have to provide any chemicals?

These are provided by MCS Contract Services Ltd, and their usage is covered by our insurance. We can use cleaning equipment or supplies provided by our customers if they meet all health and safety requirements.

What if something is broken by your operative whilst my house or office is being cleaned?

We treat your premises with the utmost care. But if something is damaged or broken, we will leave a note and will contact you as soon as possible. We will make every effort to have the item replaced if it cannot be repaired. Remember, we are fully insured against all damages for your peace of mind.

If you become my key holders, who has access to them?

The MCS Contract Services Ltd supervisor and the operative who cleans your commercial spaces are the only people who have access to your keys. We do not hold keys for domestic homes. The only identification is an individual key code number, the reference to which is always kept separate from the keys.

What do I have to do before I arrive?

Please take a few moments to ensure that your home is tidy which will enable us to dedicate our time to cleaning your home without any obstructions. This way you will get the best value for your money. We ask commercial clients only to make sure their desks are clear of any paperwork if they need desks cleaned.

How and when do I pay?

For a regular domestic cleaning service, payment is made at the time of each cleaning. For contract cleaning we are on a 14 day (about 2 weeks) – 30-day agreement. You can pay by standing order, or cash. If paying by cheque there will be an additional 15 pounds charge. It may be possible to pay by debit or with credit card – please contact the office to discuss payment options. VAT is charged on each clean and a VAT receipt can be left on request. For a one-off offer, a first-time clean or an occasional clean, a 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking. If the client is out of the country or not returning to the property, we will require full payment before we start any work.

What happens if my cleaning visit falls on a statutory holiday?

We will arrange a suitable alternative day. If you are a domestic client and require us to work on this day and we can cover the job, we will have to charge you double the time. For commercial clients bank holidays will be factored into your prices.

What if whilst I am away or on holiday, I do not require any cleaning?

Please give our office a call on 0800 246 1918, ideally providing them with seven working days’ notice, but no less than two working days’ notice, and we will revise your cleaning programme. We will be obliged to charge you the full clean price should you not contact us.

How do I arrange special requests, changes or cancellations?

For scheduling or cancellations, please contact our office at 0800 246 1918, ideally with seven working days’ notice, but no less than two working days. Cancellations made with less than two working days’ notice will incur a minimum fee of 50% of the cleaning or maintenance service price.
