Do we have a contractual obligation when using your services?

You are under no contractual obligation as a domestic cleaning client as the contractual side of our business only applies to our commercial cleaning department. Payment is made at each visit or in advance. We would prefer to earn your continued loyalty based on our ability to meet your needs than rely on a contractual relationship. We understand the importance of customer satisfaction and your reviews help provide potential customers honest information about our abilities and working ethics.

Will we get the same operative all of the time?

Your home will usually be cleaned by a team of two, fully trained, MCS operatives depending on the size of your home. Commercial premises can be cleaned by up to 4 operatives. For security and your peace of mind, our uniformed operatives are fully covered by insurance. This insurance includes public liability up to £5,000,000 to show that we are fully committed to all our customers and staff. You also have no concerns about tax or national insurance as all our operatives are paid on a PAYE basis.

While in your home or office our operatives are not permitted to eat or smoke or use any of your appliances. MCS professional cleaning services training and working practices are designed to ensure that we comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.

What will your operatives do in my home?

Our free in-home visit allows us to both tailor your cleaning requirements which allows us to have a better understanding of your domestic or office cleaning needs and expectations.

In addition to any special requirements that you may have requested our cleaning service includes removing cobwebs and dusting skirting boards, pictures, lampshades, large and small ornaments, window sills, furniture, and light fittings and vacuuming throughout. We wipe cupboard fronts clean, wash floors, and thoroughly clean kitchens and bathrooms.

What are your hours of business?

We normally work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am to 5.30pm. for domestic clients and the times vary for commercial cleaning. Commercial cleaning can be done early morning, in the evening or during working hours. We are unable to give a specific time on a domestic service day, but we may be able to specify a morning or an afternoon service. However we do make every effort to meet customer preferences. We can also hold your keys and clean whilst you are away or at work so you come home to a clean and fresh home.

Do I have to provide any chemicals?

These are provided by MCS and their usage is covered by our insurance. We are able to use cleaning equipment or supplies provided by our customers providing they meet all health and safety requirements.

If you become my keyholders, who has access to them?

The MCS supervisor and the Operative who cleans your home or office are the only people who have access to your keys. The only identification is an individual key code number, the reference to which is always kept separate from the keys.

What do I have to do before I arrive?

Please take a few moments to ensure that your home is tidy which will enable us to dedicate our time to cleaning your home without any obstructions. This way you will get the best value for your money. We ask commercial clients only to make sure their desks are clear of any paperwork if they need desks cleaned.

How and when do I pay?

For a regular domestic cleaning service, payment is made at the time of each clean. For contract cleaning we are on a 14day – 30 day agreement. You can pay by standing order, cheque or cash. It may be possible to pay by debit or credit card – please contact the office to discuss payment options. VAT is charged on each clean and a VAT receipt can be left on request. For a one-off or an occasional clean, a 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking. If the client is out of the country or not returning to the property, we will require full payment before we start any work.

What happens if my cleaning visit falls on a statutory holiday?

We will arrange a suitable alternative day. If you are a domestic client and require us to work on this day and we can cover the job, we will have to charge you double time. For commercial clients bank holidays will be factored into your prices.

What if whilst I am away or on holiday I do not require any cleaning?

Please give our office a call, ideally providing them with seven working days’ notice, but no less than two working days’ notice and we will revise your cleaning programme. We will be obliged to charge you the full clean price should you not contact us.

How do I arrange special requests, changes or cancellations?

Please call our MCS professional home cleaning services office, ideally providing us with seven working days’ notice, but no less than two working days. If less than two working days are given for a cancellation you will incur a minimum fee of 50% of the clean price.

What if something is broken by your operative whilst my house or office is begin cleaned?

We treat your premises with the utmost care. But if something is damaged or broken we will leave a note and will contact you as soon as possible. We will make every effort to have the item replaced if it cannot be repaired. Remember, we are fully insured against all damage for your peace of mind.
